We’re over it.
The ghosting. The searching. Questioning if the job post is even real.
I’m over it. Are you over it?
UGH. Its the mood that I’ve been feeling lately and probably you too if your reading this.
So, lets figure it out together, I’ve been searching for work for sometime now and why not share what I’m finding and learning?
Resources Of The Week
Website of the week: Captain Digital Nomad offers tools and resources for those looking for remote work.
Job News to Watch: A deep drive into how deepfakes/AI are stealing remote jobs.
Job News to Read/Listen: Two-part series about how remote work is reshaping life for prisoners.
Real Sites, Real jobs
When I find legit sites, companies, or jobs. I’ll send them your way.
This week, I’m focusing on the website of the week Captain Digital Nomad.

Homepage
From visa requirement directories and digital nomad guides to a free resume builder and job board, the site offers a wide range of tools to help you get started. While the resume builder and job board could use some refinement, the Resources tab is where the site really shines. The guides break down the realities of remote work, from what it takes, how to prepare, and how to position yourself for success.

Remote Company Directory
My favorite feature? The directory of fully remote companies, listed from A to Z. It even includes the geographic footprint of each company, so you’re not wasting time applying to roles that don’t align with your location or legal work status. The list seems to be growing steadily, so it’s worth checking back regularly.
Remote Roles This Week:
Global Greengrants Fund - Operations Manager: Remote/Global (within ±4 hours of Mountain Time required), Salary - US minimum of $102,800, and closing date is September 21st.
Tecovas - Seasonal Customer Experience Associate: US Remote, Salary - $18 per hour.
Remote Work: The Good and the Bad
A fantasy for some, reality for a few. But is it truly accessible to everyone?
Let’s explore which industries offer the most remote-friendly opportunities. According to AP News and Flex Jobs, the three fastest growing “work-from-anywhere” fields are:
U.S. Education
Administrative
Social Media
I’ve noticed in my own personal search a uptick in administrative and social media roles. Such as UGC creators on the social media side to communications officers in the administrative or education side.
The Bad: Two major hurdles stand in the way of seamless remote work: location and taxes. Ironically, the freedom to work from anywhere often comes with complex residency rules, cross-border tax implications, and legal gray areas. The UN Global Mobility framework highlights just how tangled international work arrangements can become.
The Good: While full remote work isn’t a legal right in most places, some regions are making strides. In Victoria, Australia, as well as parts of Europe, employees have the right to request hybrid arrangements, though laws guaranteeing fully remote work are still rare. Having lived in Australia myself, I’ve experienced firsthand how hybrid culture is embraced there. ABC News Australia covers the proposed legal protections for Victorian workers.
Meanwhile, in the U.S., several cities and states are offering relocation incentives up to $10,000 to attract remote workers to smaller communities. It’s a promising shift, even if the legal frameworks are still catching up.
Is remote work something that your interested in? If so, reply to this email and let know why?
Good luck with your job search this week!
