We’re over it.

The ghosting. The searching. Questioning if the job post is even real.

I’m over it. Are you over it?

UGH. Its the mood that I’ve been feeling lately and probably you too if your reading this.

So, lets figure it out together, I’ve been searching for work for sometime now and why not share what I’m finding and learning?

Cutting Through the Noise: Two Job Sites That Actually Help

I gotta be honest. Finding entry-level work or career programs for high school grads and career changers has been tough. There’s a lot of noise out there, and not enough clear direction.

So I’ve had to go back to the drawing board. Times have changed, and I can’t keep referring back to how I got my first jobs. What worked then doesn’t always work now

So let’s cut through the fluff.

I recommend checking out CareerOneStop and The National Labor Exchange (NLx). These two platforms partner with the U.S. Department of Labor and state workforce agencies to connect job seekers with real opportunities ( including remote roles ).

Daily job count

Instead of bouncing between dozens of company sites or job boards, start here. They’re built to support workers at every stage, and they’re especially helpful if you’re looking for:

  • Entry-level roles

  • Training programs

  • Apprenticeships

  • Remote-friendly jobs

  • State-specific resources

CareerOneStop also offers tools to explore career paths, build resumes, and find local support services. NLx pulls job listings directly from employers and workforce systems, so you’re not just chasing outdated posts. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin these two sites are a solid first step.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be building out a list of programs, organizations, and small business tips to help make the search a little easier.

If you find something worth sharing, send it my way by replying to this email. Let’s keep building together.

Good luck with the search this week!
